Student Heaven has been providing top quality self-catering accommodation in Eastbourne’s town centre since 1994 and this said, we like to think that with this depth of experience we have a good understanding of the needs and demands of our tenants.
Some years ago we worked with Eastbourne Borough Council to interpret, develop, and then implement the new regulations emanating from the Housing Act 2004 and were proud to have the very first licensed House of Multiple Occupation (‘HMO’) in Eastbourne. Our houses were used as the benchmark against which all other HMO’s in the town are now judged and at the council’s request we provided interpretative assistance and practical guidance to new environmental health staff and local landlords alike.
All properties comply with (or even exceed) current gas, electrical, fire, and Environmental Health regulations. Relevant certificates are available at our offices to view or copy at any time, free of charge.
Each house has fibre-optic internet, gas cooking and gas central heating and all rooms (most with wash hand basins) are equipped with desks, solid pine double beds and chests of drawers. TV’s are provided in every house. Our kitchens are equipped with washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers and microwaves.
Houses are for 2–10 tenants sharing lounge, bathroom and kitchen facilities and all are located in Eastbourne town centre close to all amenities and within walking distance of main shopping areas, bars, nightclubs, cinemas and beach. Rooms are available year round with prices starting from £550pcm.

Starting out as a barrister, Bob moved into the world of Commodities and Financial Futures broking before combining the knowledge gained from both career paths whilst working as a Financial Services lawyer for a couple of well known London based merchant banks. Following a couple of years working as a Red Sea divemaster, Bob then returned to his home town to set up what has now become Eastbourne’s longest established student accommodation business.

Now based overseas, Gareth has spent the past 30+ years as a landlord and letting agent, and although he now spends a fair amount of time travelling and pursuing other interests, he still takes an active part in the running of the business and may still be found at the Student Heaven office at busier times of the year.
